Help them gain confidence and channel their stamina into charisma!
As parents, we all love our children and will do anything to make them happy right? That happiness includes issues like their health, education or even the friends they mix with.
For children who take time to warm up to others, we worry that they will have difficulty making friends during their school life. We worry they will lose out during confrontations or get taken advantage of due to their gentle nature. In extreme cases, we even worry what will happen in their adult life!
Whereas for the ones with super hyper children, yes, the boys and girls who never seem to tire. We rack our brains to come up with activities to satiate their energy, but the ones who get exhausted are always the parents! We wonder where their energy comes from and squirm during the months of June and December. If only we can channel their strength into something more productive!
Shyness in children
It is normal for children to display shyness in front of adults. However, when they interact with other kids around the same age, they tend to open up and have an easier time interacting.
Children who engage in lesser social activities compared to their peers tend to miss out on vital communication experiences, thereby resulting in more shyness. This inadvertently affects their social cognitive behaviour and causes them to stay within their comfort zone, which leads to, yes, even more shyness!
In order to expand their social circle, it is a good idea to educate our children on the importance of trust and graciousness.
By nurturing them to be generous from a young age, they will mature earlier and foster a solid foundation of confidence.
The energetic ones
It is actually a huge blessing if your child is super energetic. It might get on your nerves at times and you feel like you cannot keep up. But do you know the fact is that children do not have more energy than us?
When was the last time you took your child out shopping or to the zoo? Can you recall how quickly they get tired after walking a certain distance and prefer to be carried? Compare it to the times where you leave them in the living hall or going to the theme park. When their toys are around or when there are fun and games, they go all out! And you get exhausted.
Playfulness is the factor here. High energy children are by nature very playful and use ALL their energy to have fun! Isn’t that a good thing?
The trick then is to find an activity that harnesses both that playfulness, and is constructive in their childhood development.
We adults have more energy, but instead of being playful and waste our energy, we conserve it to take care of our kids and do adult stuff!
We can help!
Why not let your boys and girls try out dancing?
Dancing helps create bonds and mutual respect. It develops teamwork and independence in children and when better to start gaining these experiences than their pre-teen years? (You know how terrifying teenagers can be!)
Our classes introduces discipline without compromising your child’s enjoyment. Nothing makes us happier than seeing our children having fun and learning essential values.
By treating their partners or fellow team members with respect and sincerity, children grow to understand the concept of camaraderie. They break out of their comfort zone to be there for their friends and trust one another. We help channel their playfulness and competitiveness into performances and competitions where they can let loose their infinite energy and mature together as a team, and most importantly, have fun!
