Dancing is a great skill to have.
It’s fun.
It’s something that people can do with anyone at any time.
Dancing is a great way to learn self-discipline and improves coordination.
Also, it makes people feel better, and stay healthier.
Dancing releases endorphins, a feel-good hormone into the bloodstream and helps reduce the levels of a stress hormone, called cortisol. It has been scientifically proven that dancing helps people to relax and get rid of stress.
Dancing isn’t about looking perfect. It’s about being confident, having fun, and being able to connect with other people.
It’s about listening to music, moving in time with it, and feeling good.
The best dancers don’t necessarily aim to become world-class at the start, they just love the activity and keep practicing and perfecting their skills.
With that said…

How Can Your Kids Handle The Pressure Involved With Competitions and Performances?
We all know that parents want the best for their children and performance pressure can be a real challenge, especially for kids who are still developing.
Here are some things we at Dancer’s Dream Studio often teach parents to do when helping their kids deal with pressure:
1. Interact
Check to see if your child enjoys what he or she is doing. Children, like adults, require a ‘check-out’ period to relieve tension and stress.
2. Encourage
Encouragement from parents can be a stepping stone to success for a child. You are an important figure in your child’s life, and you will be the one on whom he or she will rely to acquire confidence, hard work, and excellence.
3. Introspect
Have them write down or share their feelings and experiences in their dance performances. In this way, you can review carefully where they are and what help you can offer.
No matter how good your child is, there’s going to be some mistakes he/she will make when performing.
Let your child know that we all make mistakes and we have to learn how to deal with it.
So, your job is to let them know that you are there to support them through all of it. That means being understanding and consistent.
There’s a lot that you can do in helping your child set clear expectations for their performance and competition. communicating with your child is one way to bridge the gap.
